Surprises!

I love surprises. They are fun, exciting, and romantic! Today has been a rough day. Brad has been out of town for two weeks and it is starting to wear on me a little. I am stressed, tired, and I miss my husband! This morning I was an emotional wreck. I was crying over every little thing that was going wrong and when you have two kids a lot of little things go wrong. Poor little Jason kept telling me "be happy Mommy!" then he would give multiple kisses and told me at least 20 times he loved me. All of that was so nice and made me cry even more. Then there was a knock on the door. I was expecting me new running shoes so I was pretty excited to answer and check them out. When I opened the door there was a package but it didn't look like my shoes. So I went inside and opened the box to find these beautiful calla lilies with a sweet little note from Bradley! It was the best surprise at the perfect time. I definitely needed something like that to let me know I was doing a good job and that he misses me as much as I miss him! I am so lucky to have an amazing husband that I love more and more every single day we are married. I am so glad we have forever together!

26.2 miles

So it is official! I am now signed up to a run a marathon in October. I am not sure how I really feel about it yet. When I start to think about it I get really excited and a little nervous (I think it is good to be a little nervous) and then I start to freak out quite a bit. I think about how I am only running 3 miles at a time right now and how some days that feels hard and I am supposed to run 26 miles in just 6 months. So I decided this morning I need some kind of boost and I thought maybe a new pair of running shoes would do that trick. Mine are starting to get worn mostly because I have had them for a couple of years now. I have heard Asics and Mizuno are two really good brands so I have been looking and I found a pair of Asics I like a lot. They have really good reviews and on top of good reviews they are 140 dollar pair of shoes....yeah I bought them for 89 dollars!! boo yah!

Full House!

March was quite a busy one. After our trip to Indiana we had some of Brad's family come visit us. The day after we arrived back in Colorado his parents drove in and the day after that his sister Lindsey flew in! It was so nice to have them here. We did some fun things and ate some good food. And I know Jason and Bailey Loved having them here and having all their attention! One day we decided to go to Seven Falls down in Colorado Springs. It was really cool! It is a huge water fall with 7 different falls and you can climb lots of really steep stairs to get to the top.

Here is Bailey having a great time being outside!
All of us except Sandy at the bottom of the stairs
The big waterfall
All of us half way up
Aunt Lindsey and Bailey
Silly Jason wearing papaws glasses
We also took a trip to the zoo. While we were there we rode the choo choo train.

Jason Loved the train. He could ride that thing all day if I would let him!

While papaw and mamaw were here there was a lot of this going on.
Aunt Lindsey and Jason smooching
The kids with the grandparents!

It was so nice to have them all here and get to hang out and have a great time! Can't wait to see them again in May!

Indiana

I know I know! It has been forever since I have posted last. We have been really busy this month and when I wasn't busy I was not in the blogging mood. So let's play some catch up! At the beginning of March the kids and I went to Indiana to hang out with my family. It was a Blast! It is so much fun to hang out with my family and it is even more fun when we have all 6 grand kids in one house at the same time! They all had so much fun together.

Jason adores Lily. Here they are hanging out on Pappy's chair watching a show.
Here is sweet little Sam.
Bailey girl had a great time and loved all the attention she got from everyone! It was a little rough trying to adjust back to normal life and not having someone hold her all day everyday!
Here is Jason getting ready to go to the children's museum. He insisted on wearing these goggles!
Bailey bug having a great time at the museum.
In the car... cute little kiddos!
The boys having a blast playing outside!

Jason, Sam, and Gavin. The best part of that night was when my 5 year old niece Lily walks into the bathroom and says "It's like wee-wee heaven in here!!!"
All the grandkids!

Nana and Jason
Thanks Mom and Dad for having us! We had such a great time and can't wait to see you again! We love you and appreciate everything you do for us! :-)

Cheese!

Not a lot has been happening around here. We have been enjoying the nice weather and getting ready to go to Indiana to visit my family. Here are a few fun pictures of the kids having a good time around the house.

CHEESE! My little cheeser.
Sweet Bailey girl! I just love this hat on her!
And she is out.
Bailey is such a mobile little thing. She is crawling all over the place and loves to climb on things.

We found Nemo...part 2

Bailey didn't enjoy pictures too much this night. It is pretty dark in the building and the flash was really bright and she did not like that at all!
This was the most active snake we have ever seen! It was just following Jason. It was kind of creepy!
Jason interested in ALL of the fish!
A lot of the time I cut off Brad's head in pictures by accident, but this one was on purpose. They could stick their heads up in the bubble and get a really cool view of the fish.
Jason loves exploring with his Daddy.

We Found Nemo...part 1

This past weekend we took a trip to the aquarium and it was a blast. Jason loved seeing all the different fish and creatures! Every time we saw a fish he either said NEMO! or went Chomp! pretending to eat the fish. :-) Bailey enjoyed just strolling around and watching Jason run around like crazy. I took a lot of pictures so I thought I would break it up into two parts so I don't bore you to death with pictures!

Brad and Jason by the big monkey...Jason does not get scared very easily but he was totally freaked out by this.
Me and Jason in front of the tiger.
Up on the bridge.
Sweet Bailey... and no her hair is not this dark it is just the lighting. I don't have a 600 hundred dollar camera...yet! :-)
Jason petting the Rays. He spent about 30 minutes here!
I can't believe he did this but Jason got to touch a snake!!!
