Summer Break Part 2

We had such a fun busy summer.  Lots of playing with friends and visiting family.  

While the kids were in Utah with Brad's parents we put together out new entertainment center.  I just love how it turned out.  It really brings the whole room together. 

Parkers first plane ride.  He did great.  He fell a sleep on both flights. 

 It was nice we had a couple days in Salt Lake to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary.

We visited Thanksgiving Point.  

And the kids had a blast at the children's museum.

Once we got back home it was back to real life.  

One of the kids favorite things to do is take pictures, mostly selfies. 

Summer Break Part 1

This summer was busy, hot, and lots of fun.  We spent a lot of time at splash pads, the pool, and playing in the water in the back yard.

Brad's basketball team won the championship game in their city league.  He has still got it ;-)

It took us a month or so but we finally finished the kids play set.  And it is a hit.  They have spent countless hours playing on that thing.  It has been Awesome!

We took a trip to Indiana to visit family.  We had some much fun playing with cousins, celebrating birthdays, going to baseball games and making lots of soda runs :-)

Bailey insisted that Brad swim with her in the pool.  Good thing it is just his size ;-)

Bailey turned 4.  We had a fun time celebrating with friends at the splash pad!

Sadly, in July our Legoland pass expired so we used it as many times as possible before it did expire.  Bailey was Finally big enough to drive the cars! 

Last Day of School

Jason finished Pre-K last week and they had a fun activity day.  I love going to Jason's school and see him interact with other kids and have fun!  

Jason is such a smart boy.  He loves school and loves to learn.  Every day he would come home from school and tell me all about what they did that day.  Of course his favorite parts about school are recess and lunch :-) 

Jason loves to count to 100.  Can do basic math like 2+2.  He knows all of his letter and sounds.  He is getting better every day at reading.  He can easily read up to 4 letter words.  He read his first book all by himself a couple of months ago.  He is very out going and made some really great friends this year.  He loves to play chess and put puzzles together.  He is happy that it is summer time but talks about kindergarten every day! I am not sure if I am ready for that but I know he will do great.

Dallas Color Run 2014

A while back a group of us girls signed up to do the color run here in Dallas.  I love signing up for races.  It is one way to really motivate me to get in shape and run every day.  Well of course Brad started traveling and I got a little sick like a month before the race.  I wasn't sure if I was going to go because the day before I felt awful but I woke up nice and early on Saturday and I felt great.  I am so glad I did because we had a blast! There were So many people so at times it was impossible to run but I was pretty happy that I did run the whole way.  It was a lot of fun to do it with a group of friends and have fun and be silly! 

 After the race we celebrated by throwing our own color and Kalli was kind enough to give me a mouth full! :-)

 The kids didn't know what to think when I got home.  Jason would not come near me and Bailey just wanted to get the color on her! That pretty much sums up their personalities :-)
