I know I have been kind of MIA in the blogging world. I just haven't been in the mood lately. I will stop being lazy and try and play some catch up. This year for Thanksgiving Brad's family were kind enough to come to us. On Thanksgiving Day the boys played some football in the morning.

We had such a great time. We are so thankful they could come out and spend time with us and I know Jason and Bailey enjoyed it the most! They love all their grandparents and anuts and uncles and cousins. They love their family so much. Everyday they are asking to go Utah to see Mamaw and Papaw or go to Indiana (IndiNana as Jason would say) to see Nana and Pappy. We are so grateful for our family's and wish we could be closer but maybe some day :-)

I know I know....I haven't posted in a coon's age! :-) Honestly, not a whole lot has been going on. Sure, with two kids every day life is pretty exciting but I am guessing that it is mostly just exciting to me. I just wanted to let you know I am still here and I didn't give up on the blogging world. There have been a couple of exciting things. First, Jason has been sleeping through the night. He had a couple of nights when he woke up once but for the most part he is doing great! Only took him three years! :-) Also, we recently had an apartment full of family for Thanksgiving. Brad's parents, his sister Brandi and her husband Zach, and his brother Scott all came to visit. We had such a great time spending time with all of them. It feels like every time we start to get comfortable here in Denver and we start to think about staying here long term we go see family and realize how important it is to us to live closer to them. Sadly, I did not take any pictures and I forgot to get the ones Sandy took. No worries. I will get them over Christmas break and have a huge long post to write. Yay! but untill then here is a sweet picture of my babies! Just so you he is hugging her not choking her :-)

Trunk or Treat

We did our church trunk or treat this past Saturday and Brad and I were so excited! It is so fun to see how excited Jason is to be Batman and we couldn't wait to dress up Bailey as the Joker! We knew when Jason decided to be Batman that Bailey would be the perfect Joker. With her crazy hair and personality it just fit perfectly. Each step of getting her ready was so fun and she just sat there like a perfect angel and let me put on this weird stuff in her hair and on her face. We thought she looked awesome but we are her parents so we always think that but as soon as we got to the trunk or treat she was a hit. Jason loved that Bailey was the Joker. He is really into Batman right now so he thought their costumes were pretty awesome! And they were!!

We recently went to the pumpkin patch. We chose a new one this year since the one we went to last year was kind of lame! This year we went to The mile high farms pumpkin patch. It was a huge pumpkin patch with plenty to do. I think the kids most enjoyed the petting zoo. Bailey is in love with animals and she waves and smiles and talks to them like they are her best friend.

By the time we did all the activities like the petting zoo, the train, the hay maze, the bouncy houses, and the hay castle we were all hot, hungry, and tired. Sadly we didn't go to the actual pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins but we still had a great time!!

Persimmon Festival

I was so excited to go to the Persimmon Festival with my kids. It was something I did growing up and was thrilled to get to see my kids experience it. While I was there I also had to chance to make my first persimmon pudding. This stuff is amazing. I think I almost ate the whole by myself. Brad really enjoyed it. I was very excited about that because I have been talking about this stuff for over 5 years now! So it would have been disappointing if he didn't like it.

It did rain one day we were in Myrtle Beach so we decided to skip the beach that day and go to the aquarium. After the aquarium we headed over to the shops in the area to grab some lunch at Johnny Rockets. Here are just a few pictures from that day.

While we were at Myrtle Beach we had to have a miniature golfing night. So after an amazing dinner at a seafood buffet we headed over to one of the least exciting miniature golf courses i have ever been too! It was still so much fun and the kids had a Blast! Oh and I won of course! I didn't even cheat. I was blessed with winning because I was the only one in my group who didn't cheat! It pays to be honest! :-) Anyway! Because our group was so big we had to split up in to two teams. It was a lot of fun and the boys actually did really well. I think close to the end they got sick of trying to hit the ball so they were smart enough to just pick the ball up and throw it in the hole! Except Jason! He HAD to start at the starting spot and hit the ball all the way to the hole. He was actually pretty good. I was impressed! I love doing this on our trips. It takes me back to some great childhood memories in Florida. Sorry there are a lot of pictures but I wanted to try and get a photo of everyone for me mostly but I hope you enjoy.

At the beginning of September the kids and I were lucky enough to visit my family in Indiana. If you know anything about my parents you would know they love vacationing. So we got to go on a vacation while on vacation! We had a couple of days in Indiana then we headed off to Myrtle Beach, SC. It is was my parents, my granny, me and my kids, my oldest sister Emily and her two kids, and my older sister Ashley and her husband Roger and their two kids. So three cars and two days later we arrived!!! We were a little nervous about the rain because of the hurricanes that had been hitting the east coast but it ended up been amazing every day!

Five years down, Eternity to go!

While we were in St. George Brad and I had a lot of time to spend together. Brad's parents had a youth activity for their ward and invited us. So we got to go repelling. Brad has done it before but it was my first time. I have had so many firsts with his family!! It was a lot of fun. A little scary at first but we all had a great time. Jason wanted to do it so badly but wasn't quite big enough.

Brad and I recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Brad's parents were kind enough to watch the kids for a couple of days so we could take a trip to Vegas just the two of us. We had such an amazing time. When we first arrived we checked into our hotel and headed to dinner. We decided to go to PF Changs. I know, not the most exciting place to eat at when you go to Vegas but we were extremely happy. We took a coupon for an appetizer thinking we were going to save some money which is always good. As we are eating the manager talks to us and we tell him it's our anniversary and a few minutes later the waiter asks us to choose a dessert. Sweet! Free dessert! Well when he brings us our check we see that the price says $0.00! We were shocked. It was very sweet and it was a great way to start our vacation!!!

We first went to the Love cirque du soleil show. It was awesome. I am a pretty big fan of the Beatles so I was into it. Brad enjoyed but I could tell it probably wasn't his favorite. So the next day we bought tickets for Ka. We both Loved it. Very excited and dramatic.

Mamaw and Papaw's house

At the end of July we were able to take a trip to Southern Utah for a couple of weeks and spend time with Brad's parents. We always have such a good time and I know Jason and Bailey Love all the attention and the time they get to spend with their mamaw and papaw and aunts and uncles. We stayed pretty busy while we were there. We did four wheeler rides, went to the splash pad, played outside a lot, played with toys, did some potty training and got lots of snow caps! And when I say we I mostly mean Jason, Bailey and Brad's parents :-) Brad and I were lazy. It was nice to have a break and get to relax.

Camping trip 2011

So far we have had a great summer. We love having family come out and going to see family. So at the beginning of July Brad's parent's came out to visit and we had an awesome time. The kids loved taking a ride in the box.

So the big reason they came to visit was so we could go camping and let me tell you that was quite the adventure. We left Saturday around 11 we had just planned on driving up into the mountains for a couple of hours and find a spot near Breckenridge. Well, that didn't really work out we drove past Breckenridge and stopped to eat lunch real quick then we got back on the road determined to find The best camping spot in the Rocky Mountains! We decided to keep driving south we hit Alma, CO then we headed over to Buena Vista, CO. I know I had never heard of them either! However, as we were driving through Buena Vista we drove past this little hole in the wall burger stand that had a mile long line. So Brad and I are dying to go back just to try that place. Just so you know this is about 4 hours into our trip. So we head on up to Leadville, CO. We have actually been here before. Brad's parents lived here for a little while and we took a trip here when we first moved to Colorado in January when it was Freezing and there was 3 feet of snow on the ground. I was a nervous wreck the whole drive. Anyway, back to my story. We finally reach Leadville and after about an hour of driving around there we finally find THE spot. We were literally in the middle of the continental divide.

Our adventure didn't end once we found our camping spot! Oh no, it had only begun. Once we arrived we started unpacking the cars and genius here locked the keys in the car. Luckily we did get everything out that we absolutely needed. Then the next day we ventured out to the little town of Leadville. We tracked down the county sheriffs station and they gave us some lame story about getting sued for helping a lady unlock her car blah, blah, blah. So then we headed over to the towns police station...no one there. Seriously!! Then off to the fire station...no one there! so we tried calling the one and only locksmith in the whole town, who by the way is only available when he is not working down in the mines! When we told someone we called the locksmith first they laughed then they said " Good luck with that" :-) That gave us a lot of confidence. So we came to the conclusion we are going to have to break a window! So on our way back to the campsite we just happen to drive pass the fire station and see the fire chief pulling in. Brad jumps out of the truck and tells him our fun story. Within 30 minutes our car is unlocked and we are so happy and so very grateful for the Leadville fire department.

I had to go to the piggly wiggly in Leadville to get these sweet shoes for Bailey! :-)

We had such a great time and after the locked car incident everything went great! That is until we were driving home. We were so excited to go home and only drive two hours. We get 6 miles away from our exit and we come to a dead stop on I-70. I guess a semi had tipped onto its side and spilled fruit all over the interstate...I am being serious! So they had to reroute us onto the side road and it ended up taking us four hours to get home. Oh boy were we happy to be home! It was a fun trip with lots of adventures and fun memories and we wouldn't have changed it for the world.

At the beginning of July Brad's parents came out for a visit and we celebrated Bailey's birthday together.

So these two pictures say it all. Jason is such a careful and cautious little boy and always has been. Bailey on the other hand is a little more free spirited.

She is so sweet. While we were singing to her she got really bashful (which is very unusual) and was trying to hide. It was pretty sweet. That is my attempt at trying to make lady bug cupcakes. HA!

Saturday was Bailey's 1st birthday! We had such a fun day. We went to the mall and did some shopping. Then we came home and went swimming and after that we took naps and headed over to an old fashioned burger place called Gunther Todays and we really enjoyed that. It is hard to believe she is already a year but at the same time it is like she has been with us forever. She is a sassy little thing but is one of the sweetest little girls. She loves attention and can't be left out of anything. She loves to cuddle and is a pretty good sleeper. She is such a girl and is already showing her motherly instincts. She is very social and will go to pretty much anyone except for men she is a little more hesitant....which is fine by me! Maybe that will last 18 more years that would be just great! :-) Bailey loves her big brother. She loves to follow him around the house and copies Everything he does. Jason is quickly picking up on this and has started to be a little stinker and he gets her to do things that he knows she is not supposed to be doing. Like he will go open the bathroom door and he will yell "Bailey!!" and she will come running in there and then Jason will dart off to another room. Yeah! like I said STINKER! We are so happy to have her in our family. She keeps us on our toes and keeps things interesting :-)

Chocolate Heaven!

I recently bought a cookbook called Our Best Bites Mormon Moms in the Kitchen. I have made a few things and all of them have turned out great! Yesterday I was having a Major sweet tooth so I decided to look through the book and hopefully find something that sounded good. I found a recipe called Chocolate Mousse Crunch Cake. I was sold. So I headed over to the store and got a few ingredients and made this piece of chocolate heaven.

I must say I was very proud of it. It looked pretty good and it tasted AMAZING!! It is not only to best cake I have ever made but it is the best cake I have ever had. It is chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, crushed health bar, another chocolate cake, chocolate ganache and more crushed health bar. Like I said A-MA-ZING! And you would think it would be super rich but as long as you don't get a ginormous size it's not too bad.

Okay I know I have posted this top picture before but I wanted to post it again for a couple of different reasons. First, she just looks so pretty and I like it a lot. Second, I just want to say that this is one determined little girl. She is the sweetest, happiest, and social baby but when she wants something or wants to do something she WILL do it. Especially if she sees her big brother doing.

Which brings me to the next few pictures. One of Jason's favorite things to do it climb up on things (pretty much anything...the chair, the couch, his bed, the side table in the living room..anything!) It is something Bailey is quickly picking up on. She doesn't have the jumping off part yet but I am sure it will not take long. (Just so you all know Brad was standing right behind her in case she did fall.)

Sunshine Days

These past couple of weeks have just been amazing. I recently found out that I have a stress fracture in my right knee and was told to stay off it when I can and rest so we were stuck inside for a few days. I started feeling better so we decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. So last weekend we decided to go to a local farmers market. We had such a good time. We enjoyed the food, the activities and just being outside as a family. They have free carriage rides there and Jason really had fun with that.

So I was told by the specialist that I was not to exercise for 4-6 weeks and I took that as no running so I felt comfortable to get out and go for a walk to the park with the kids one day. They both love being outside so much and I know I love it because it wears them out and they take great naps! :-)

Jason is so much fun at the park. We go down the slide, we swing, and play in the trees. He is starting to get such a fun imagination.

Yesterday we decided to go to the zoo and see the "aminals" as Jason calls them. It was perfect weather and we got there pretty early so all the animals were out and pretty active. Every time I asked Jason what animal he wanted to see he would request to see the purple bear. I am not sure where he came up with that but it was pretty entertaining.

Every time we go to the zoo now Jason HAS to ride the choo-choo. It is so hard to say no because it is a nice little break for me and it is a nice incentive for Jason to behave.

Utah

While we were in Utah we had a lot of family time and we loved it! It was so nice to spend quality time with everyone and it was also nice to have so much help with the kids. There were times when we would get out of the car and my hands and Brad's hands were empty...a little weird but a nice little break and we greatly appreciated it.

While Brandi and I were running Jason and Bailey had an awesome time with Grandma and Grandpa!

I know I am Bailey's mommy and a little bias but is she not one of the prettiest little girls with the most beautiful eyes!?!?!

Jason had such an amazing time just running around, being outside, and having so many people to play with.

Memorial Day 10k race

This past weekend was such a fun one. We were able to take a quick trip to Northern Utah to spend time with family and friends. Brandi (my sister-in-law) and I were able to squeeze a race in there too! We ran a 10k in Orem and I had an awesome time! It was my first race since high school really. Of course, Brandi did awesome and I was surprised at how well I did. I didn't get 2nd place or anything but I accomplished my goal of finishing before 60 minutes and felt great pretty much the whole run. It really was a fun experience and I am glad that Brandi did it with me. It is fun do to things with my in-law siblings. I love spending time with them and getting to know them better. It is difficult sometimes to live far away from both of our families. However, it does make the times when we do get to see them more special!

I finished and that is was matters! I placed 10th for my age division and 89th over all. I finished the race in 58 minutes so I can't complain. I finished, I did pretty well, and I had a great time.

Can you believe my little baby girl is walking?!? She just turned 10 months but I feel like she is still a newborn. She still crawls more than she walks but she is getting better every day. I don't know how I feel about this...I think I am kind of dreading it because I know it just means more work for me :-) but she is a determined little girl. While we were video tapping Bailey someone got a little jealous and so we did a quick video of Jason doing somersaults and it didn't end well for either of them! Don't worry they were both just fine. :-)

Easter 2011

This Easter was so nice. Brad has been traveling like crazy lately and it was so nice to have him home for this special holiday. In the morning we gave the kids some fun little easter baskets and went to church. Once we were home we relaxed together and had a nice Easter dinner. Easter is such a wonderful special holiday. Brad and I had our home teachers over tonight and something we discussed was the wonderful thing about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the blessing we have to remember the atonement and what Jesus did for us each and every Sunday when we partake of the sacrament. I am so thankful for my Savior for his sacrifice for me. He suffered and died and was resurrected so that I would be able to repent of my sins and return to live with my Heavenly Father and so that I would have to opportunity to live with my family for all eternity.

Who is that adorable big girl standing up all by herself? What? That is my little baby Bailey? No! Yep it sure is!!! Can you believe she is standing and can already take a couple of steps by herself! It makes me so sad but excited at the same time. These kids get to be better friends everyday and I know it is only going to get better as they get older. I can't even stand how cute she is. She can say dada, baba, and last night she said mama!!! Bailey likes to wave, clap, point, laugh, play with her big brother, snuggle, play with her daddy! She loves her binky, bottle, and food!

I have recently noticed I don't have a whole lot of pictures with them together so lately I have been trying to focus on taking pictures with them together.

Surprises!

I love surprises. They are fun, exciting, and romantic! Today has been a rough day. Brad has been out of town for two weeks and it is starting to wear on me a little. I am stressed, tired, and I miss my husband! This morning I was an emotional wreck. I was crying over every little thing that was going wrong and when you have two kids a lot of little things go wrong. Poor little Jason kept telling me "be happy Mommy!" then he would give multiple kisses and told me at least 20 times he loved me. All of that was so nice and made me cry even more. Then there was a knock on the door. I was expecting me new running shoes so I was pretty excited to answer and check them out. When I opened the door there was a package but it didn't look like my shoes. So I went inside and opened the box to find these beautiful calla lilies with a sweet little note from Bradley! It was the best surprise at the perfect time. I definitely needed something like that to let me know I was doing a good job and that he misses me as much as I miss him! I am so lucky to have an amazing husband that I love more and more every single day we are married. I am so glad we have forever together!

So it is official! I am now signed up to a run a marathon in October. I am not sure how I really feel about it yet. When I start to think about it I get really excited and a little nervous (I think it is good to be a little nervous) and then I start to freak out quite a bit. I think about how I am only running 3 miles at a time right now and how some days that feels hard and I am supposed to run 26 miles in just 6 months. So I decided this morning I need some kind of boost and I thought maybe a new pair of running shoes would do that trick. Mine are starting to get worn mostly because I have had them for a couple of years now. I have heard Asics and Mizuno are two really good brands so I have been looking and I found a pair of Asics I like a lot. They have really good reviews and on top of good reviews they are 140 dollar pair of shoes....yeah I bought them for 89 dollars!! boo yah!

March was quite a busy one. After our trip to Indiana we had some of Brad's family come visit us. The day after we arrived back in Colorado his parents drove in and the day after that his sister Lindsey flew in! It was so nice to have them here. We did some fun things and ate some good food. And I know Jason and Bailey Loved having them here and having all their attention! One day we decided to go to Seven Falls down in Colorado Springs. It was really cool! It is a huge water fall with 7 different falls and you can climb lots of really steep stairs to get to the top.

Indiana

I know I know! It has been forever since I have posted last. We have been really busy this month and when I wasn't busy I was not in the blogging mood. So let's play some catch up! At the beginning of March the kids and I went to Indiana to hang out with my family. It was a Blast! It is so much fun to hang out with my family and it is even more fun when we have all 6 grand kids in one house at the same time! They all had so much fun together.

Bailey didn't enjoy pictures too much this night. It is pretty dark in the building and the flash was really bright and she did not like that at all!

This past weekend we took a trip to the aquarium and it was a blast. Jason loved seeing all the different fish and creatures! Every time we saw a fish he either said NEMO! or went Chomp! pretending to eat the fish. :-) Bailey enjoyed just strolling around and watching Jason run around like crazy. I took a lot of pictures so I thought I would break it up into two parts so I don't bore you to death with pictures!

Bailey has been crawling on her knees for a couple of weeks now and I finally got a video. It is just a short one but she is too cute. She is starting to crawl into other rooms and explore a little. It definitely makes my life easier and more difficult as the same time! We love to see her learn and grow everyday. She is the happiest and sweetest little girl.

This week has been a fun filled week of basketball again! Wednesday we went to the BYU vs. Air force game with a group of our friends and had a great time! Sorry I didn't take any pictures! Then Thursday Brad had a church ball game. We almost didn't go because Brad got home from work late and I forgot so we weren't ready but Brad really wanted to play so we got ready really fast and headed over to the church. Well Brad did great and they won by quite a bit like they always do. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed because Brad always come home from ball on Saturdays saying a he dunked on this person and so I was hoping to see a little action. Sadly he didn't dunk it during the game. Little did I know I was in for a HUGE surprise. After the game had ended he was just messing around and someone told him to dunk it (he had tried a couple of times during the game and it just never happened) so he goes in for the dunk and after he dunked it a little more came down than just the ball. Like some glass and rim!!! Yeah that's right my husband broke the basketball goal! Everyone was in shock at first and once we calmed down I thought it was pretty awesome! I mean how many times do you break a basketball goal (unless you are Shaq)

Another fun thing we did recently was a little camp out in our living room. Well actually it was just me and Brad during the night. We starting 24 season 6 and wanted to stay up late but of course we wanted to be in our comfy bed (we might have finished that season in a week...but who is keeping track right?!) We also wanted a couple of nights without Bailey in the same room (it was great) and of course she slept through the night! Anyway the kids thought it was pretty cool when they woke up in the morning to this! Brad and I talked and once Jason started sleeping in his bed better we were going to start camp out fridays! Pretty much it is just where we do this every friday night. We stay up "late" and watch a movie that Jason will enjoy and sleep in the living room. We thought it would be a fun little tradition!

Basketball Jones

It is no secret that we are a basketball loving family. Brad and I both grew up playing ball. Brad is lucky and he still gets to play basketball at least twice a week. Me on the other hand well it is very difficult to find a group of girls that play basketball. So these days I am just a hard core fan that loves to play whenever I get the chance!! Brad and I have noticed recently that we passed the basketball loving gene onto our son Jason. For his birthday this year we bought him a basketball hoop and from day one he has Loved it. He plays Every day and multiple times a day and he is actually really good! We were all really shocked at how he has such good form just naturally. Majority of his shots go in and when he gets bored with just shooting a plain old jump shot he will come up with trick shots. Well these past couple of weeks we have been lucky enough to go to some really good basketball games. Brad and I got to go on a date!!!!! His work took everyone to a Nuggets vs. Jazz game and we had a blast (probably because the jazz won). Here are some pictures from that evening!

The final score! Nuggets 106 Jazz 113!!! I am SO glad they won because I was cheering pretty loud for the Jazz and I would have been pretty embarrassed if they would have lost. I am also so glad they won because Brad and I both STRONGLY dislike the Nuggets and the nuggests fans! (sorry if any of my friends that read this are nuggets fans) They are probably the quietest crowd except for when it comes to cheering against the other team and when their players tackle the other team and are complete punks! Anyway I am glad they won and we really did have a great time!

We also were able to go to the BYU vs. Colorado State basketball game as a family! It was so much fun and it was Jason's first Real basketball game. We have gone to watch Brad play many times and Jason really likes that but this was completely different. With all the lights, noise, and players Jason was mesmerized. He sat there and watched the whole game. He even got into it! They were some calls the fans didn't like (I know that's a big surprise) and they started yelling. Jason thought it was pretty cool and he decided he had a few words for the refs! It was pretty much just jibberish but it was really funny. Here are a few photos to remember that night.

Over Thanksgiving we went to Disney World with my family. I think there was a total of 16 people and it was a Blast! We were there for 10 days and got to go to all the parks at least twice. It was so fun to get to spend all that time with family and have a great time! I wanted to break this post up into two parts because i have a lot of pictures to share...I might have to do three! We have been pretty busy around here so I am a little behind on my posts. So this year we decided to set up the tree a little early because we had a long vacation and then Brad is out of town for the rest of December. Setting everything up was a lot of fun this year since Jason was able to help and enjoyed it.

4 Months and Snow Days

Bailey is now four months and I just can't believe it has already been four months. Life is very crazy with a toddler and an infant! I would not change it for the world. They are so much fun and Bailey is starting to interact a little more so that makes it even more fun. Bailey had her check-up this week and it went very well. She is 25 inches (90th percentile) 12lbs (20th percentile) and i can't remember her head circumference but she is the 50th percentile. So he is a tall and skinny little girl but very healthy! Bailey loves to smile and is Very ticklish. She loves to watch her big brother play and wishes so badly she could join him. Bailey started rolling from belly to back at like a month and about a week ago she started rolling from back to belly. She sleeps really well at night and is not the best napper. But as long as she sleeps through the night I am a happy mama. She loves playing with her hands and feet. She likes to stick her fist in her mouth and chew on it. She LOVES her Binky which is okay with me (for right now). I was going to start her on solids but I am going to wait till we get back from our vacation because the doctor didn't seem worried about it! Well that is Bailey as of right now! But she is growing and learning new things everyday and we just love her so much!

I am a little upset with myself because I didn't get a great picture of the kids in their costumes but they looked pretty darn cute. Jason was a pirate this year. He would not keep his eye patch, earring, or head band thing on but I didn't really expect him to. Bailey was a pretty princess! It was a little big on her but she still looked adorable! Brad's work had their little event this year at the childrens museum and then we headed over to our church for the trunk or treat. It didn't take long for Jason to get a hang of the trick or treating thing :-)

Our lives have been kind of boring lately. Brad is busy at work and it is starting to get pretty chilly outside so it's not as easy to do things outside. Last Saturday was nice enough to go to the zoo. It was kind of funny cause Jason made a girlfriend and so we just tagged along with the little girls Mom. Three Months

Bailey is now three months and she is as sweet as ever. She is a lot more chill than she used to be and she is starting to sleep better. She has her nights where she will wake up a couple of times but most of the time she will only wake up once. She smiles all time and Loves to watch Jason play. Anytime he talks to her or plays with her she can't help but smile! It is fun to see how much they already love each other. Bailey loves to talk. She can carry a conversation with me or brad for a couple of minutes, of course it is just coos and aahs but it is really cute. Bailey already loves T.V. When Jason watches his shows in the morning she will just lay there and watch the whole thing with him. She is very squirmy we can't leave her alone on the couch or near any edge because she will wiggle her way off. It hasn't happened yet but she has come close. She tries to roll from her back to her belly and is a pro at rolling from belly to back. She is so much fun and is growing so fast.

Pumpkin Patch

So this morning we took a trip to a local pumpkin patch. It was fun to just let Jason run wild and do a few fun things they had there. When we first got there I was worried because it was pretty dead but it ended up being a good thing. I wasn't constantly worrying about Jason getting in other peoples way. It was the perfect day for this. Sunny and 70 degrees. We had a great time.

What we have been up to

This has been such a busy month. After all of our family left we took a quick trip. Brad had a work event at BYU so we got to tag along. It was great to get to see family and friends. I wish we could have seen more of our friends but we didn't have much time so hopefully next time we come out we will get to see everyone.

We had such a great time spending time with our friends josh and morgan. They were nice enough to let us stay with them and I know Jason Loved it. He couldn't get enough of Logan they were best buds for the weekend.

We are alive!

Yes we are alive! I know it has been a while since my last post. I am still trying to get this two kids thing down :-) life has been a little hectic with two kids a few weeks ago Brads sister came out to visit and being the horrible picture taker that I am I did not take any pictures of her with the kids :-( but we had a lot of fun while she was here and miss her a lot! so here is are a few pictures to show what we have been up to.

Last weekend Brad, me and the kids took a trip to the hammonds candy factory. This was jasons favorite part and my least favorite part. I am trying to be more laid back about this kind of stuff but sometimes it is hard for me to not hover over him with a wipe ready to clean his face and clothes.

This past weekend was our stake fair and we had a great time. There were lots of people, great food, and fun activities for all ages. And might I add that I won the free throw shooting contest for the girls and lost to the boys by only two shots :-) I was happy to know I haven't completely lost my game! Four years down!

Last Thursday the 29th Brad and I celebrated our four year anniversary! Four Years!! All day i just kept thinking has it really already been four years... i swear I am still 19 and we just got married yesterday!! I am so glad that I get to spend forever with my best friend and I get to share all these amazing experiences with him. Because we have a new computer I dont have any pictures to post but they will be coming soon!

Last week Brad's mom came out and stayed with us.... it was such a blast to have her here. She really helped out a lot and we really miss having her here. While she was here she took a few family pictures for us. It was before nap time so it wasn't as easy as i thought it would be but they turned out really good!

Yesterday we took a trip to the zoo! we have been stuck in the house for 6 days and we all were about to go nuts so we got up early and went to the zoo for a couple of hours. It was the perfect day to go. While we were there the weather was perfect and Jason was in a great mood. It is really cool that he is getting to the age where he really enjoys these type of things because he understands more. We were really excited to see the bears because Jason is obsessed with the movie Brother Bear but unfortunately they weren't out :-( so we headed over to the monkeys which Jason really enjoyed. The whole time we were walking around he was making monkey noises. Bailey had a great time too! As soon as we got there she was hungry so I feed her and then she fell asleep and stayed asleep the whole time we were there... sounds like fun to me!!! I don't get a whole lot of that now a days:-)

Home Sweet Home

Yay for being home! we were able to leave the hospital Sunday and come home. So far everything is going great. I am feeling wonderful and Bailey is as healthy as can be especially for being 4 weeks early. She is now 6 lbs 8 oz and 19 1/2 inches long so she lost a little bit of weight but it is pretty normal for that to happen. Jason is loving having a baby around. Throughout the day he will realize we don't have her and will say "baby?" wondering where she is. So I will have to take him to the bedroom and show him that she is still here and then he makes me get her out so he can hold her or give her a kiss :-) its too sweet....I know! I couldn't be happier with how he is handling everything that is going on.

Introducing Bailey Susanne Barrett

Bailey Susanne Barrett was born on July 9, 2010. she weighs a healthy 6lbs 11oz and is 19.5 inches long. She is so tiny and precious and we cant get enough of her. We are all doing well and we get to go home tomorrow!!! So far she sleeps most of the day and wakes up for a short bit to eat and get her diaper changed. she is so sweet and we are so very happy she was ready to come early(i think mommy was especially happy about this)

I am really sorry that it has been awhile since i have posted anything. We bought a new computer and Brad needs to transfer all of the stuff off the other computer onto the new one so im just waiting for him to do that so i can post new pictures and i have also been busy with packing because we are moving to a bigger apartment so once i get pictures on this computer i will have a lot of pics dont worry!

Last week Jason and I took a trip to Indiana to see my family and we had such a good time. Sorry there are kind of a lot of pictures but we took the kids to the childrens museum and they had a blast!!!

So this is what I woke up to this morning and yes it is May! ugh sometimes I really dont like Colorado. Thank goodness we are going on vacation on Saturday...sadly we aren't going to the beach or anywhere exotic. We are just going to Indiana but we get to see my family woo hoo :-) and i know it is not snowing there!!! hopefully by the time we get back it will be warm and we can start working on our tans :-)

While we were in St George we also were able to see Brads dad compete in an ironman. It was nuts but a very cool thing to watch and our Family friend Burt also competed...we are so proud of both of them. It is such an accomplishment!!

Its has been getting so nice out lately and it has been great to spend time outside and let Jason just run around and wear himself out. We recently got our zoo pass and I am so excited about it. A lot of the other moms that I go to church with have zoo passes also. so it will be fun to get out and get to socialize with adults :-) Last weekend Jason and I took a little trip downtown to visit Brad for lunch and it was amazing outside.

So i have noticed lately that Jason loves to play in carseats...at playgroup he found little Lydia's and played in it for about 45 minutes straight.

The playoffs have started!!!! and it just so happens that our team the Utah Jazz are playing Denver Nuggets and brads work and an awesome deal on some tickets so we got to take advantage of them and go to the first playoff game.

Easter weekend

This past weekend was easter and we started it off on Friday with a group of friends at the park. We did an egg hunt and a pot luck dinner. i knew Jason wouldn't be interested at all in looking for plastic eggs so I didn't hide any for him... he did find someone else's and picked it up for about three seconds and then threw it back down. I felt really bad for not hiding any for him but once I saw him do that I was glad I didn't.

I have been wanting to put jason in a suit that Brads parents got him for christmas for awhile now but i have been lazy and havent bought him black shoes and then i finally realized its a 24 month outfit and wont fit him for a few more months probably but thats okay i went ahead and took the white shirt and tie and put it together with some pants he has and he looked adorable... i know the suit will look even cuter but this will work for now :-) He just looks like a little man in this outfit.

And for those of you who are interested how our little girl is doing...she is definitely growing! Here is a picture of me at 21 weeks... yeah im only 21 weeks...but some days i feel like i am 30 weeks. Everything is going really well. I feel great most of the time and she growing and is very healthy. I am so excited it is starting to warm up and i checked the weather and there are no snow storms coming up anytime this week so we will get to get out and enjoy the warm weather and get a little bit of exercise in!

Tuesday night we were hit with a huge snow storm. it was so weird cause that day it was in the 50's and sunny and then all of a sudden it started raining and thundering...which was kind of fun...i love thunder storms but then around 5 it turned into snow by the time we got home from picking brad up the ground was covered and just a couple hours later there was at least two inches on the ground. this is what we woke up to! the one good thing about this storm was Brad got to stay home from work and hang out with us a little. Gotta love Colorado!!

GIRL! we went to the doctor this morning and everything looks great! she is very healthy and is measuring wonderfully! and its a girl so that is very exciting. I pretty much knew the whole time... this pregnancy is just a lot different from Jason and i just had The feeling... mothers intuition or whatever :-) but we are very happy and just cant wait to meet her! So I finally got my new camera this week and i am pretty excited! Its a lot smaller than my last one and easier to carry around with me wherever i go! here are a few pictures I have taken since i have had it. Yesterday was Amazing. It was close to 70 degrees and we had play group so we went to the park and Jason had a blast playing in the sand and being outside.

In the evenings we like to play in Jasons room for a while and Jason really likes to play games in his crib. I love it because it has really helped him become more comfortable with his crib and room and since we have been doing this he has been sleeping much much better.

So i know it has been forever since i have updated my blog and i am very sorry!!! To be honest for some reason i have felt like nothing exciting has happened... it has been kinda boring around here lately and i have just been lazy! Yep thats right... im preggers! :-) we recently found out that we are going to have another baby. I had a doctors appointment on monday and i am 10 1/2 weeks and my due date is august 8th. Everything is going well... this pregnancy is Way different from my first. I am a lot more emotional and i am been a little sick. With Jason i couldnt even tell i was pregnant till i started getting big. Anyway... we are very excited and I am already anxious to find out the sex!

So Jason is walking... he has been walking for a few weeks now but i think he has got it down pretty good now! He walks more than he crawls now so it is exciting and i think he enjoys is a lot.

As i was doing my hair Brad and Jason joined me in the bathroom and Jason started playing with the shower curtain rod and before we knew it he was hanging on it like a monkey... he is a strong little guy!

Saturday was Brads Birthday so we went to the Zoo.

Jason really enjoyed some of the animals... it was fun to see him get excited... when the animal would come up to the glass he wanted to pet it so badly!

For Thanksgiving he headed down to Colorado Springs to have dinner with my Aunt, Uncle , cousins and my Granny. It was so nice to be with family and we had a great time.

So this year for Halloween we went to a friends house for a party and we didnt have costumes that matched so we decided the day of that we would go to walmart and find something and while we were there we decided that Jason and Brad would be basketball players and i would be a ref. It was fun to get a little creative and it didnt cost much at all so thats always nice!

The past couple of days we have been getting a lot of snow! Yeah thats right Snow... and it is still October... i feel like we should be decorating for Christmas and we haven't even had Halloween yet! To tell you the truth i am enjoying it Very much...
